Kaunteya is a mergers and acquisitions specialist, having been involved in approximately $2 billion of closed transactions with a focus on food manufacturing/retail and technology.  He also spent several years in emerging market private equity and private debt at a firm with $2 billion of assets under management, where he analyzed, structured and syndicated investments in telecommunications, infrastructure, clean energy and agriculture.  Most recently, Kaunteya was responsible for underwriting and portfolio management at a Montreal-based venture capital firm.

Kaunteya was also chief operating officer for a food robotics start-up where he was instrumental in the company's $5 million seed round led by a Japanese automotive venture arm.

Prior to all things finance, Kaunteya - a Cordon Bleu trained chef - helped establish restaurant Joe Beef, one of Canada's top-ranked restaurants where he led the kitchen as Chef de Cuisine.  He has three children and still enjoys his passion for cooking for his family and friends.
